I have written a review here for my healing journey of my arthritis flare through acupuncture. I must share with you my infertility journey and hopefully it an help couples who are struggling with infertility.
I had a miscarriage at 43 years old from an unplanned pregnancy. After going through the emotions from our loss, my partner and I decided to try to conceive for the second time. After 10 months of trying, we decided to go the IVF route. The meeting at the IVF center was discouraging. I was told to consider donated eggs because of my advanced age, and the likelihood of a viable embryo would be difficult due to PCOS.
I remember going to Seoul Acupuncture and Herbs for my arthritis treatment. There was an array of baby photos and I knew about their herbal/acupuncture treatment for pregnancy.
I made an appointment to meet Dr. Kim. Our first meeting left me feeling welcomed and hopeful. He gave his clinical assessment and developed a plan utilizing herbal medicine, acupuncture and the diet to improve uterine blood flow. From then on, I worked with Dr. Kim to improve my chances of a viable pregnancy. I started the treatment in November 2023, and became pregnant in April 2024, at 45 years old. I continued on with the herbs and acupuncture to safeguard the pregnancy. I also continued to work with my regular doctors for pre-natal care. My pregnancy was generally healthy, the fetus normal and thriving. I delivered to term in December 2024 to healthy baby boy.
I am forever grateful to Dr Kim, not just for the treatments he provided, but also for the encouragement for a healthy pregnancy. The staff and Dr. Kim share foods to eat to replenish iron, such as seaweed soup and holistic strategies for a healthy pregnancy.
